Little House Raises Big Money in Westchester

WHITE PLAINS, N. Y. – The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors (HGAR) is raising thousands of dollars for Habitat for Humanity. And they are doing it all with a house that’s only 16 inches tall.

The miniature model home is now set for a summer tour in Westchester County. HGAR member offices thoughout the county will “adopt” the house for two weeks at a time, using it in creative ways to draw attention to the Habitat for Humanity cause and encourage people to donate.

“Displaying the model Habitat house at our member offices helps to keep Habitat’s mission at the top of mind,” said Ann Garti, Chief Operating Officer of the Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Services and former Chief Executive Officer of the Orange County Association of Realtors.

“That little house reminds us all of the important work that Habitat does in helping to provide decent, affordable homes for families in our area.”

Westchester member offices interested in displaying the Habitat House can contact Michelle Gilliard at michelle.gilliard@hgar.com.
