Home Sale Breaks Scarsdale Record

Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty has set a real estate record. The residential firm announced the sale of a Scarsdale, N.Y. home for $10.8 million, the town’s highest price for an MLS-listed home since transactions have been recorded.

Listed by agents Mary Katchis and Dawn Knief, the Scarsdale home was top on the list of The 10 Most Beautiful Homes in Westchester by “Westchester Home” magazine in 2010. Set on more than 2.54 acres of landscaped grounds the large three-story Stone Colonial was built in 2006. It has 20 rooms and 11,600 square feet that include seven bedrooms, six full and three half baths. The grounds include a pool with spa and a tennis court.

“The seller of 9 Heathcote Road selected Julia B Fee Sotheby’s International Realty based on our strong global capabilities and our record of assurance that we could attract viable buyers at this high-end price point,” says Knief.  She describes the buyer as “someone who had seen many homes and who truly appreciated the quality craftsmanship and standard of excellence shown in this home.”
