Exceptional Homes Call for Exceptional Broker

Finding the perfect home can be hard – unless you work with a real estate broker like Houlihan Lawrence’s Susy Glasgall.

“People come to me because of the exceptional way I treat them,” says Glasgall, a top producer in volume of sales year after year for the past 25 years. She credits her master’s degrees in counseling and education from the University of Pennsylvania for some of her success. Glasgall likes to educate clients about the homes she sells - and her counseling skills are key to successful contract negotiations.

Twenty years ago Glasgall sold 29 Haviland Road in Harrison, a gracious brick home built in 1936, to the current owners. When the couple decided to sell, they turned again to Glasgall.

“My clients are loyal to me because I am loyal to them,” she says. The elegant five-bedroom Colonial, listed for $3.495 million, has a pool and two manicured acres.

Another magnificent home is at 17 Linden Drive in Purchase. Built in 1922, this stately nine-bedroom manor is surrounded by beautiful grounds that include a formal European garden with gravel pathways, a swimming pool and pool house as well as a tennis court. This home is listed at $7.85 million.

Glasgall is the listing agent for an impressive number of homes in all price ranges. She credits the attention she pays to her clients, both buyers and sellers, with attracting new clients. She was recently asked to list a home for sale by a couple to whom she had originally sold the house.

“They had loved the way I showed them the property and they thought of me when it was time for them to sell,” she says.

Glasgall makes no secret of the fact that she’s a workaholic.

“I work seven days a week,” she says. “I really, really love what I do.”
