Broker's Community Service Gives Clients an Edge

Eric T. Lebenson, an associate broker with William Raveis Legends Realty Group, has found his true calling in serving local organizations in Briarcliff Manor, where he works and has lived most of his life. Lebenson is also a product of the Briarcliff school system.

He considers coming to the aid of people in difficult sales to be an extension of his service work. Lebenson specializes in properties in Briarcliff, Ossining, Pleasantville, Chappaqua, Armonk, Cortlandt Manor and Croton. In the current market, Lebenson said he also realizes that many sellers must consider multiple options, including short sales when faced with potential foreclosure. In serious cases such as this, Lebenson's Certified Distressed Property Expert designation qualifies him to help.

“I have a very strong background in the community and with charity work,” Lebenson said. “Working with clients that needed short sales was kind of the next step in real estate. It is helping people out during a tough situation.” As a result, he can prevent deficiencies and credit damage for his clients as well.

A two-time Rotary Paul Harris fellow, Lebenson is a founding member of the Briarcliff Chamber of Commerce, serves on the board of the Briarcliff Rotary Club and is a member of the Board of Pocantico Hills School Foundation. A sports enthusiast, Lebenson recently ran a local basketball fundraiser to help with scholarships for Briarcliff High School students, which the Harlem Magic Masters played a game against teachers and parents.

“Working with these organizations absolutely follows my ideals and core values as far as being a family person and being very in touch with the community,” Lebenson, a resident of Westchester for more than 35 years, said.

An athlete, he plays tennis and platform tennis and gives private lessons upon request. Lebenson and his high school sweetheart, Dawn, have two children who are also involved in the community, mostly in sports. Dawn is an elementary school teacher at the Pocantico Hills Central School District elementary school. Michael, 5, is just getting started with sports. Julia, 10, plays soccer.
