Agent Finds Real Estate a Dream Career

Anita Zander has been a full time Realtor in Northern Westchester County for 32 years, with a track record of success.

“If you want pushy, find someone else,” says Zander. “ I use my vast experience and instincts to gently help my clients fulfill their dreams.”

Discussing the tough economic climate in real estate over the past several years, Zander says experience and expertise are needed now more than ever. She is proud to be associated with Houlihan Lawrence.  “This gives me very deep resources to draw upon to serve my clients.”

A resident of North Salem since 1970, Zander feels strongly that Northern Westchester is a great place to live and raise a family. Her two sons grew up here and now live with their families in Chappaqua and South Salem. “I am truly blessed to have five grandchildren within 25 minutes of my home.”

Horses are her passion--it’s one that she combines with real estate whenever she can. She is on the Boards of the Goldens Bridge Hounds and the North Salem Bridle Trails Association, and is a long-time member of the Bedford Riding Lanes Association (BRLA). Helping people buy and sell Horse Properties is one of her favorite activities.

Zander also specializes in Relocation, serving both buyers and sellers with their often stressful transitions. It's a wonderful niche, and one in which she excels.

“All of my business is by personal referral,” said Zander.  “I  love to work with people who came to me because I did a great job for their friend or neighbor or relative.” She treats her clients like family, sometimes even weeding gardens or making beds before showing a home!

“It’s a very satisfying feeling to guide people through the most important aspect of their life at that particular time…buying or selling their home. Who could ask for a more fulfilling career?”
