Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, a Democrat, is considering running for state senate to replace George Latimer, who was elected to County Executive last week.
Citing a source, the Daily News said Spano, who will be term-limited, would consider jumping in if Governor Andrew Cuomo called a special election. Spano was previously an assemblyman. Kat Brezler, a White Plains resident, announced last week she is seeking the Democratic nomination.
