Do You Feel We Need An Overhaul in Albany?
- I agree with Julie Killian that we need a complete overhaul in Albany
- I disagree with Julie Killian that we need a complete overhaul in Albany
According to Killian, the corruption and inefficiencies in Albany have gone too far, with billions of dollars added each year to the costs of living and doing business in New York. Killian feels what she's dubbed the state’s “corruption tax” is the reason New York has become the highest taxed, most over regulated, and least economically competitive state in America. It's the needless spending and added costs for working residents that she hopes to stamp out.
Killian also hopes to enact term limits in Albany to break up the traditional networks of career politicians. As a result, money can be freed up for services that will help Westchester senior citizens, school children, special needs neighbors, small business owners, and property taxpayers.
Killian argues that political careerism in New York, and the backroom arrangements that stem from it, are preventing New York from moving forward with sensible tax, mandate, and regulatory reforms that would jumpstart the economy and make life in New York a little easier.
