Officers say they spotted Chrystana Penelton, 27, of Riverside, R.I., driving erratically about 4 a.m. Sunday on Leewood Drive in Eastchester.
They soon realized she was intoxicated, and proceeded to arrest her, police said.
Penelton kicked two officers and spit at one of them in the face during the DWI arrest process, according to police.
Penelton was charged with four misdemeanors: resisting arrest, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, second-degree harassment, and DWI, police said.
Other arrests made over the holiday weekend, as a result of Westchester County Police’s STOP-DWI sobriety checkpoints and roving patrols, are as follows, according to police.
- Luis Soto, 31, of Yonkers, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor aggravated DWI near the Saw Mill River Parkway in Dobbs Ferry.
- Alyssa Flores, 27, of White Plains, was charged Monday with misdemeanor aggravated DWI on the Hutchinson River Parkway in New Rochelle.
- Christine McGowan, 26, of the Bronx, was charged Sunday with DWI on Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant.
- Pascual Tarrats, 66, of Mount Vernon, was charged Saturday with DWI after he was allegedly involved in an motor vehicle collision on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Dobbs Ferry.
- Jeffrey Wheeler, 28, of Pelham, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor driving while ability impaired by drugs and an unlawful possession of marijuana violation; his charges resulted from a sobriety checkpoint at Hutchinson River Parkway in Mount Vernon, police said.
- Nolan Henry, 23, of Bridgeport, Conn., was charged Saturday with three misdemeanors – driving while ability impaired by drugs, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle; his charges resulted from a sobriety checkpoint on Wolf’s Lane in Pelham, police said.
- Robert Sousa, 34, of the Bronx, was charged Saturday with driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana on the Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers.
