A woman from South Salem pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony vehicular assault, DWI and other charges after she crashed into a vehicle driven by a man on the Saw Mill Parkway in New Castle, Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty said.
Tess Keegan, 23, drove in the wrong direction when she crashed into a 2008 Toyota Camry. The victim was pinned inside his car and required extrication by the Pleasantville Fire Department.
The victim was transported to the Westchester County Medical Center with life threatening injuries, some of which required surgery. He sustained fractures to his left femoral, ribs, back and toe; a lung contusion; and a laceration to his head requiring nine staples.
The accident occurred on Aug. 7 at approximately 12:05 a.m.
Sentencing will be on June 1.
Assistant District Attorney Kerrie Williams of the Superior Court Trial Division is prosecuting the case.
