Ivorey Wells, 32, faces charges of first-degree falsifying business records, a felony; second-degree identify theft, a felony; and second-degree criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor, police said.
State troopers said they were contacted in December by an Ossining woman who reported that someone had used her identity during a traffic stop that took place last July.
An investigation revealed that Wells had used the victim's name and date of birth during a traffic stop to avoid getting ticketed, police said
Wells was arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond, police said.
She was scheduled to appear before the Town of Poughkeepsie Court on Thursday, Jan. 14.
