Vehicle Break-In Suspect In Westchester Taken Into Police Custody After Being Caught On Camera

A wanted Westchester man is in police custody after being caught on camera attempting to break into a truck in broad daylight.

The Yonkers Police Department announced that 27-year-old Eastview Avenue resident John Bertolini has been arrested after he was captured on a Ring video attempting to break into vehicles on Shonnard Place.

Bertolini was arrested and charged with petit larceny and possession of burglary tools, the department announced on Monday, Sept. 9. After being taken into custody, it was also determined that Bertolini also had an active warrant out for his arrest.

“Keep posting those Ring videos!,” the department posted on social media. “Great job by 4th Precinct Officers Gene Dolce and Chris Manzo for making the arrest! Remember to follow the #9PMRoutine and lock your car doors at night!”
