Traffic On North Castle's Middle Patent Road Cut To One Lane

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- Con Edison is working on repairing fallen electric wires on Middle Patent Road at the intersection with Thornewood Road, North Castle Police said in an advisory issued just after 5 p.m. Friday.

Traffic is restricted to one lane. There are numerous traffic warning signs in the area and Con Edison has flag persons directing traffic.

Motorists are being told to comply with their directions and use caution when traveling through this area, or, if possible, use an alternate route of travel.

Con Ed anticipates completing the repairs by 9 p.m. Friday.

The wires caused some damage to the roadway at location as well so there will still be some rough road conditions in the area after Con Ed completes the wire repairs, police said.
