Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department responded to the Boulder Brook Equestrian Center shortly after noon on Thursday, Dec. 20, where there was a report of a larceny in a vehicle.

Police said that officers canvassed Mamaroneck Road to Griffen Avenue, as well as Saxon Woods Golf Course and Kids Base for other possible crimes or suspects without success.

According to police, the owner of the car stated that she had parked the car earlier in the day, and when she returned to the car at approximately noon, she found that her passenger side window had been smashed and her purse was stolen. The woman and other people at the equestrian center reported that they did not see or hear anything when the break-in occurred.

While speaking with officers, investigators noted that the woman had already contacted her credit card companies, and some of the stolen cards had already been used at a Walmart in Westchester.

The incident remains under investigation. No suspects have been identified by investigators. Check Daily Voice for updates.
