On Wednesday, state police announced that they are currently accepting applications online, and have scheduled weekly exams for potential candidates in October, which will be held throughout the state.
According to law enforcement officials, opportunity with the New York State Police include training and membership in specialized units, and there is the opportunity for advancement. Online applications must be submitted online by Sept. 1.

“Come help us celebrate our 100 year anniversary by applying to join the New York State Police. The strength of our agency is built on the diversity of the men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving their communities and their state” Superintendent George P. Beach II said in a statement.
“We are actively seeking qualified, committed, and motivated candidates from all walks of life to take the Trooper exam this fall. Candidates will be competing for the chance to join the ranks of the New York State Police and have a rewarding career of public service.”
