Police: Gunshot Reportedly Heard In Armonk

ARMONK, N.Y. – The North Castle Police say that an Armonk resident reported hearing a gunshot near her home on July 22.  Police say the female resident heard the suspected gunshot near the back of her house at 23 Creemer Road in Armonk around 9:30 p.m.  North Castle Police responded to the home and searched the area and did not find any further noise or evidence of the reported gunshot. 

In other blotter news…

Four Injured In Crash:  North Castle Police say that a two-car accident at the corner of Banksville Road and Bedford Road sent four to the hospital with minor injuries.  The accident occurred around 4 p.m. on July 18 and closed down the roadways for a brief amount of time.  Police say a total of six people were injured in the crash and that four were taken to Northern Westchester Hospital.  All are expected to make full recoveries. 

Car Damaged in Hit and Run: Police say that an Armonk resident reported around 5 p.m. on July 16  that his car was damaged  while parked on MacDonald Avenue in Armonk.  A large dent and white paint was left on the rear driver’s side bumper of the car, according to police. Police say the car was parked on the street for approximately five hours and that it is unknown at what time the accident occurred. 

Possible Rabid Animals:  Police say that on July 19, a resident at 1 Meadow Drive in Armonk reported seeing a possibly rabid groundhog on the property around 10:45 a.m.. Also on July 19, police say that a resident at 15 Banksville Road in Armonk reported seeing a possibly rabid fox on the property around 6:50 p.m. Police say that no animals were found when officers responded.
