Police Dish Out 61 Tickets In 'High-Risk' Area Of I-684

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- In an effort to slow down speeding drivers along Interstate 684, New York State Police conducted a speed enforcement detail in Bedford in Westchester County that ended with 61 tickets being dished out.

According to Trooper Melissa McMorris, the area was targeted because it is considered a "high-risk" area with a potential for fatal accidents.

Troopers issued the following tickets:

Speeding arrests: 49.
Other V&T Law arrests: 12.
Total tickets issued: 61.
