North Castle Police Investigate Home Burglary

ARMONK, N.Y. – North Castle police are investigating a home burglary that took place during the weekend in Armonk. Police responded to a house on Day Road after a resident reported at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday they returned home to find multiple closets inside their home were ransacked and items were left scattered across the floor. Police say the home features a security gate at the beginning of the driveway and it is unknown whether a forced entry was used.

Police confirmed a burglary occurred, but could not give any information about what items were taken or if there is a suspect as the incident still is being investigated.

  • An accident involving multiple bicyclists in Armonk left two people hospitalized, police say. North Castle police responded to the accident on Route 22 near the entrance of Route-684 North at around 10:30 a.m. Monday. Police say three bicyclists collided while riding along the road, which caused minor injuries and required two to be transferred to the Westchester Medical Center. 
  • An Armonk resident reported to police their vehicle’s front passenger window was smashed while parked near the Rye Lake Bridge on Route 22. Police say the 2009 silver Honda Pilot was parked by the bridge for around three hours while the resident was fishing nearby. No items were taken from the inside of the car.
