ARMONK, N.Y. -- An unidentified man was reportedly lying down in the middle of a road near the Westchester County Airport last Friday, North Castle police say.
Police received a call around 5:30 a.m. from a woman who had seen the man on Route 120 South.
She told them that another man was with him, but was “just walking around.”
Both men were gone by the time police arrived on the scene.
Also on Friday, police had to speak to the owner of a dog that had been left in a car in a parking lot on Maple Avenue.
A woman called them around 4:14 p.m. to complain that the animal was locked in a silver Aston Martin with the windows rolled all the up.
The temperature was in the low 70s that day, according to accuweather.com.
An officer talked with the dog’s owner and the matter was “adjusted,” police said.
On Wednesday, Sept. 21, police were alerted about a traffic safety issue in the area of Hardscrabble Circle.
The caller told them that there were low-hanging utility wires along the edge of the road.
The investigating officer found that the telephone lines were about 7 feet off the ground and that electrical wires were also low and in danger of touching them, police said.
The low wires were caused by a tree that had reportedly fallen “months ago,” police said.
They notified Con Ed and Verizon about the situation, but it was not known if it had been rectified as of Thursday.
