Randall Cutler, whose clients have included rappers such as 50 Cent and Eminem, and former White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley, was arrested Nov. 1 on felony weapons charges.
Many Bronxville residents, including Jim George, wonder why Cutler would have an AK-47, a TEC- 9 automatic handgun, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and other weapons stashed in his secluded and gated multimillion dollar mansion.
"It's surprising, disturbing and shocking that someone in Bronxville could have amassed such a great number of weapons," said George. "You don't want this kind of thing to happen anywhere, but it's certainly very unusual to have happened in Bronxville. It's just not something I should have to think about."
Some worried residents are calling for the mayor or the police to address the community about Cutler's weapon collection.
"We have kids, and were under the impression that we were living in a safe neighborhood, so I'm not sure how to react to this," said a neighbor who said she feared for her life and declined to give her name. "What if he's released and is back living on our block. What would happen, can we even allow than? I'm just scared to know that we were living next to someone who owned so many guns, with around 500 rounds of ammunition."
Cutler, an entertainment lawyer for Big Bizness Management, a musical artist development business, represented clients including Eminem and 50 Cent, according to the company's websites. A 2003 profile of Culter in Colby College's alumni magazine told of Cutler living the high life with his rapper clients. Cutler also represented White Plains’ former mayor Adam Bradley after Bradley’s arrest a year ago after he allegedly violated a court order and called his wife.
Bronxville Police got a search warrant for the Westway house after they responded to a domestic violence call and family members said Cutler threatened his brother with a gun. Police said they found a cache of weapons, including an AK-47, a Marlin .17 rifle, a sawed-off Rossi shotgun, two tactical vests and a laser scope.
The investigation is ongoing. Cutler is scheduled to appear in Bronxville Village Court on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
