Bicyclist Hospitalized After Being Struck By Car In Westchester

A bicyclist required medical attention after being struck by a car near a busy intersection in Westchester.

Paramedics and members of the New Rochelle Police Department were dispatched to Lawson Street, early on Thursday afternoon, when an auto-bicyclist was struck by a driver, New Rochelle Police Capt. Cosmo Costa said in an email. She was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries and transported to an area hospital for additional treatment.

The bicyclist was struck near the intersection of Lawson Street and Main Street. Police temporarily limited traffic in the area as they investigated the incident. The bicyclist’s condition was not immediately available on Thursday afternoon.
