WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Adam Raymonda is a big-time Apple fanatic. With an iPhone 4 in his pocket and an iMac setup alongside Apple speakers in his New Rochelle apartment, there isn't a product he doesn't know.
When he heard the news of 56-year-old Apple head Steve Jobs' death on Wednesday, he felt it.
"I didn't believe it when I first heard it," Raymonda said. "I even watched some old keynotes for the original iPhone after hearing the news to remember that moment."
Jobs died Wednesday after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
The Apple Store in the Westchester Mall in White Plains featured Jobs' picture in a display window with flowers lined along the bottom. His presence was felt throughout the store as shoppers stopped to remember the Apple creator.
"I've been an Apple user for six years," Raymonda said. "Even though he's gone, I will still continue to use the products for a long time."
Jobs resigned as Apple's CEO in mid-August, citing health complications. He still remained a member of the company's board.
