The storm resulted in 2.5 inches of snow in Somers and 1.8 inches in Elmsford.
Winter's cold grip on Westchester County will not loosen over the weekend and a wintry mix is expected to move into the area just in time for the Monday morning commute, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunday will be mostly cloudy and comparatively warm with highs in the low 30s.
Snow will begin to threaten the area after 1 a.m. on Sunday night and could change over to freezing rain around 4 a.m. on Monday morning with ice accumulations possible in some parts of the area.
Rain and snow will linger through 10 a.m. on Monday morning before changing over to all rain in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation on Monday is 50 percent.
