Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced on Wednesday that 46-year-old Ossining resident Erika Flores has been sentenced to a term of between one and a half and four and a half years in state prison after pleading guilty to stealing more than $250,000 from the company over a four-year period.

According to Scarpino, Flores was an accountant at Prospero - a national commercial winery, beer and spirits supply company - for 10 years and was responsible for accounts payable for the credit cards used by the company. A police investigation by the Mount Pleasant Police Department determined that she used those cards for years without permission and falsified records to conceal those charges.

In total, it was determined that Flores stole $251,437.58 by using two company credit cards for expenses that included food, travel and clothing. Flores pleaded guilty to grand larceny in June.

Flores was arrested by Mount Pleasant Police on June 30 last year. She has been remanded into the custody of the New York State Department of Corrections and ordered to pay full restitution to Prospero.
