WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The week should start off with some warm weather and sunshine, but rainier days could be ahead as the week moves along in Westchester County.

It's likely that a mostly sunny Monday with temperatures nearing 70 degrees will lead into a chance of showers beginning Monday night and continuing through the week, according to Accuweather.com

"We should have some high temperatures well into the 60s," said Carl Erickson, senior meteorologist at Accuweather.com. "As you get closer to the water, you're probably going to get temps struggling to get into the 50s. So it could be a big difference there."

A brief respite from the rain could occur Tuesday afternoon with partly sunny skies and a high near 69 degrees predicted.

There should be a slight chance of showers Tuesday night with a low around 46.

The chance for showers could continue Wednesday with a high near 59.

Temperatures on Thursday could rise into the low-60s but the chance of showers should continue into Friday.
