Van Fire Results In I-684 Delays; Road Construction Closes Lanes On Hutch

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Motorists are encountering heavy delays on stretches of I-684 and the Hutchinson River Parkway late Thursday.

A van fire, reported at 9:35 a.m., on northbound I-684 in Armonk has been extinguished, but there are stop-and-go delays back to Exit 2 (Route 120).

Road construction has reduced the northbound Hutchinson River Parkway to one lane between Hutchinson Avenue (Exit 21) and Mamaroneck Road (Exit 22) with stop-and-go backups to Mill Road (Exit 18).
