"Take A Stand" and Do Yoga for Missing Spierer

Friends of missing Edgemont resident Lauren Spierer will "Take A Stand" with yoga in efforts to raise money for the "Find Lauren Fund."

This Thursday, the Edgemont High School will provide a yoga class in attempt to raise awareness and money for Spierer's return.

"Bring your mats, towels, $10 or $20 bills and learn or enjoy simple yoga moves while sending positive energy and thoughts to bring Lauren back to Edgemont," said Nancy Taddiken, the Edgemont School District's Superintendent.

Spierer, a 2009 graduate of Edgemont High School, went missing early Friday, June 3. Despite multiple professional search teams and hundreds of volunteers, she has not yet been found.

All donations will go to the "Find Lauren Fund." The practice will be taught by Nancy Shenker, a parent in the Edgemont community whose daughter is friends with Spierer.

"If yoga is not your thing, please join us to show the Spierer family our love and support," said Taddiken.

Yoga will take place on the high school's football field at 7 p.m.
