Westchester and Sacramento County, Calif. tied for sixth out of the top 10 for counties with a population of 500,000 or more. The survey is conducted annually by the Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties.
“This accomplishment reflects the leadership of John McCaffrey, commissioner of our Department of Information Technology, and the hard work of his staff,” said County Executive Rob Astorino in a statement. “Technology is changing all the time and they have done everything to stay on top of these changes.”
Counties were evaluated on their online service delivery, infrastructure, architecture and governance models, the county said.
Westchester County did not make the list in 2012, but it was ranked eighth in the 2011 survey and seventh in 2010.
