Supporters Celebrate New North Castle Supervisor

ARMONK, N.Y. - To celebrate Howard Arden's swearing in as North Castle Supervisor Tuesday, a group of supporters enjoyed drinks at the Fire Pit Tavern in Armonk.

Gail Lombardi Norris, the daughter of Jack Lombardi, the North Castle Supervisor for 44 years, from 1961 to 2005, said, "I hope someone can fill his shoes and I hope the new administration does a good job."

Barbara and Joe Viola, a married couple from North White Plains, are strong supporters of Arden. "I think he's very good and will do a great job, we look forward to having him," Barbara Viola said. "He'll put the town back on its feet, we couldn't have found a better supervisor in we went all over the world," Joe Viola said.

Tony Futia, from North White Plains, the supervisor of the Storm Weather Department, said, "We're really going to have some leadership now that Howard's here."

Arden and Michael Schiliro, who was reelected as a Town Board member and also sworn in Tuesday, enjoyed drinks and chatted with a number of other supporters, including Chris Carthy, owner of Pools of Perfection who ran for Town Board on the Democratic ticket last year.
