The DOT plans to work on two spans where the Saw Mill River Parkway crosses the Saw Mill River.

The two historic arch bridges at Bedford and Pleasantville roads will not be affected by the project, a state DOT official said Thursday.

The informational meeting will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. at Village Hall, 80 Wheeler Ave., 2nd Floor, Pleasantville.

Construction on the renovation project is expected to start on Sunday, April 3, and end in the beginning of July, the DOT said.

The bridges will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays during that period, the DOT said.

Traffic will be detoured onto the Grant Street/Marble Avenue corridor, it said.

Also, traffic on the parkway will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning on July 10 and ending on Aug. 26, the DOT said.
