Legendary heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali, an Internationally renowned sports icon, died late Friday, according to multiple reports. He was 74.
Ali had been hospitalized earlier this week in the Phoenix area with respiratory issues. He has long suffered from the effects of Parkinson's disease.
Ali, who was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr., was considered to be one the greatest heavyweights in the history of boxing.
He is one of the most recognized sports figures of the past 100 years, crowned "Sportsman of the Century" by Sports Illustrated and "Sports Personality of the Century" by the BBC.
