Divers have been working to recover pieces of the plane, flown by Val and Taew Horsa of South Salem, as they prepared to land at Danbury Airport, but parts of the plane are too heavy for the balloons the current divers are using to raise to the surface, added lohud.com.
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection along with the National Transportation Safety Board are bringing in a contractor who specializes in raising sunken debris, including planes, said lohud.com.
