Torrential rains and flash flooding were accompanied by gusty winds as the storms moved from west to east.
Approximately 3,000 Westchester residents are without power as of 8:30 p.m., according to Con Ed. The majority of the outages are in Yonkers and areas to the immediate north along the Hudson River, including Dobbs Ferry and Greenburgh.
Power issues from Goldens Bridge to points south have resulted in delays as a result of single tracking and power problems, Metro-North said.
A downed tree that shut down Route 134 for several hours in Yorktown has been cleared.
Showers and a possible thunderstorm, mainly before midnight, will be followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight into Monday morning, with a slight chance of showers continuing through noon Monday.
The rest of the day Monday will be mostly sunny with a high around 80.
