Severe Storms, Dangerous Winds, Flooding Possible In Armonk

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester County residents got a one-day break from the threat of thunderstorms on Wednesday, but a cold front moving through the area on Thursday could bring strong storms, damaging winds and a chance of flash flooding.

Isolated, severe thunderstorms will move through the area during the day and evening  on Thursday. Some of the storms could be severe.

It will be a warm day with a high in the mid 80s.

The hot air should result in poor air quality and high ozone levels. An Air Quality Alert has been issued.

Partially clearing is expected after midnight.

Sun will return on Friday with a high of 82, but the threat of wet weather and storms will return for the weekend.
