Scientists Now Believe Life On Other Planets Inevitable

Given the increased number of stars and planets scientists have found in recent years and the knowledge that hydrocarbons are present throughout space, many scientists feel the existence of life beyond our planet is no longer a question of if, but a question of when, according to Time magazine.

The presence of water on other planets, moons and asteroids is one fact leading many scientists to be more confident in life existing elsewhere. Another is the fact that our sun is believed to be just one star in a galaxy of more than 300 billion stars, each likely to hold their own solar systems, according to Time.

Many scientists say finding life may not happen tomorrow or 100 years from now, but that it is almost certain to be found at some point in the future, according to Time.
