Saw Mill Parkway Reopens After Multi-Vehicle Crashes

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- The southbound Saw Mill River Parkway has reopened as of 9:15 a.m. Wednesday morning following separate crashes that led to its closure since just before 7 a.m.

The road was blocked on the southbound side between Exit 36 for Croton Avenue and Exit 33 for Reader's Digest Road.

The crashes occurred just south of Exit 34 and were reported shortly after 6:30 a.m. They involved multiple vehicles.

The accidents caused stopped traffic jams and congestion in the area. 

Also, a disabled vehicle was cleared from the right lane of Route 9 south between Bear Mountain Bridge Road and Main Street in Peekskill. 

An earlier accident was cleared from the Taconic State Parkway south between Pinesbridge Road and Route 100/Route 133.
