Report: Rosen to Bow Out of Race for Lowey's Seat

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Larchmont resident Mark Rosen has called a press conference Wednesday at Murray Avenue School to make an "important announcement" about his campaign for Rep. Nita Lowey's (D-Harrison) congressional seat.

Joining Rosen, according to a press release, will be Joe Carvin, Rye Town supervisor, who dropped out of the U.S. Senate race for Kirsten Gillibrand's seat last Friday. According to published reports, Rosen will announce he is dropping out of his race for the 18th congressional district and Carvin will join it.

In 2010, Rosen also had to drop out of his bid for Lowey's seat when he was called to serve a tour in Afghanistan, according to published reports.
