Purchase Cross Country Hosts Turkey Trot

PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Purchase College cross country teams will host a pre-Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5-kilomoter race on Nov. 19 to raise funding for the men’s and women’s programs.

Runners from age 15 and up, there is no limit, will compete in several age categories; 15-19, 20-29, 30-39 etc. through 70-and-over with the first three overall winners raking home a frozen turkey for the holidays. Entrants will report to the Great Lawn opposite the Purchase Physical Education Building for the 10 a.m. start.

Those who wish to pre-register may do so before Nov. 17 by sending $15 to Purchase College c/o Cross Country Coach Christian Fuller, 735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, N.Y. 10577.

Pre-race registration ($20) is at 9 a.m. with the start of the 5K set for 10 a.m. and the Kids Fun 1-kilometer Run at 11 a.m.
