A former LAPD officer reportedly received the knife from a construction worker who found it. It is not known when the knife was obtained or if it was involved in the 1994 slayings of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, CNN reported.
The knife was to be examined for any forensic evidence including DNA, CNN said.
