Peter Calo Performs at North Castle Library

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- Peter Calo, a multi-talented musician, performed at the North Castle Library Sunday, playing his guitar and singing original vocals and instrumental folk-tinged songs.

Calo resides in Croton-on-the-Hudson and has recorded four CDs. He has recorded with James Taylor, Hall and Oates, Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson and produced Carly Simon's most recent recording, "This Kind of Love." He is currently co-writing songs and producing a recording for Billy Jay Kramer, the British singer who has recorded John Lennon and Paul McCartney songs.

Calo said his style is "eclectic, I've gone different directions, from solo acoustic to jazz." He's also a studio musician who plays different styles.

Chappaqua resident Kevin Shaw said Calo's music "is quite wonderful and his guitar technique is clean and unique."Karen Drucker of White Plains was also in the audience and valued watching Calo because "I play guitar and piano and write music and just started performing again."

Fran French from Armonk said she attends concerts at the North Castle Library often, "and I wish there were more of them."
