While there are still no suspects in the case of missing Edgemont resident Lauren Spierer, the Bloomington Police Department has found several people of interest who they are currently questioning.
The surveillance footage taken Tuesday night from the Smallwood Apartments complex where Spierer lives showed her entering the building at approximately 2:40 a.m., Lt. Bill Parker of the Bloomington Police Department said during a Wednesday press conference. Spierer stayed for 10 minutes before leaving. She did not enter her apartment and was accompanied by friends. Police are still examining the video for more information.
According to Parker, the last person to see Spierer on Friday at 4:30 a.m. was a male friend and fellow Indiana University student who watched her walk down the street after she said she wanted to go home.
On Wednesday's "Good Morning America," Spierer's mother, Charlene, pleaded with the nation for information about her daughter.
"To that one person who has the answer to this mystery and this puzzle, bring Lauren back. Let us know where she is, she said.
The Bloomington Police will continue to interview Spierer's friends and acquaintances from around the Indiana University campus.
The entire city was searched at least once and the process will be repeated until more evidence is found, Parker said. The investigation is expected to expand into the suburbs. The FBI has offered its help, should the hunt cross state lines.
Another press conference will take place Thursday in Bloomington, Indiana, at 11:30 a.m.
