Periods Of Snow, Arctic Wind Chills Will Grip Armonk

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Snow showers and bitter cold will grip Westchester County for most of the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Light snow will continue to fall in the area, especially before 4 p.m. with a high temperature around 24. Winds will make temperatures feel closer to the teens. Chance of snow is 80 percent.

Snow showers could return on Wednesday afternoon with a high temperature around 26, but increasing winds could bring wind chills down into the single digits. 

Temperatures will plummet on Wednesday night with the low expected to be around 3 degrees. Wind chills are expected to be well below zero with wind gusts as high as 43 mph.

Brutal cold remains for Thursday with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures only climbing into the teens.

Clouds will clear on Friday and temperatures will rebound a bit with a high near 33 degrees.
