WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Bridge replacement will close a portion of the Bronx River Pathway starting Friday, Sept. 16, according to Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino.
The pathway runs along side the Bronx River Parkway and is popular with hikers, bikers and cyclists in the lower Westchester area.
The Pathway will be closed in both directions at Fisher Lane in North White Plains to all traffic, bicycles and pedestrians. Access to the pathway will be blocked from the bridge.
The bridge work will begin at 10 a.m. Both the bridge and the Bronx River Pathway are scheduled to reopen the morning of Monday, Sept. 19.
