Pace Campus Newspaper Honors DJ Henry

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace Chronicle published a special edition newspaper completely dedicated to the one year anniversary of the fatal shooting of former student Danroy "DJ" Henry.

The 12-page newspaper released Wednesday by the Pace University campus newspaper features articles, poems and photographic memories related to Henry.

"Approaching the anniversary of DJ Henry's death, The Pace Chronicle staff decided to dedicate an entire issue to the incident that touched the entire Pace community. Many are still seeking closure but there are still questions to be answered," the paper said.

Those that contributed articles include staff members of the Chronicle and even some of Henry's professors, such as professor Howard Weishaus.

Henry, a Pace football player, was shot and killed outside a bar in Thornwood by Pleasantville Police Officer Aaron Hess on Oct. 17, 2010.  Police said Henry ran his car into Hess, who fired through the windshield. Henry was just 20 years old at the time of his death and would have been a senior this fall.

A copy of the newspaper can be picked up at the Pace University campus, or viewed online here.
