The festivities -- they will include a DJ, pictures with Santa and refreshments -- are set to run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will be held at the North Castle Community Center, 10 Clove Road in North White Plains.
Other attractions scheduled include a magician, carols and games.
North Castle Town Clerk Anne Curran, who announced the celebration at a recent Town Board meeting, noted that it is sponsored by the Beautification Committee of North White Plains.
The tree lighting is one of two town events being held this coming weekend at the Community Center. North Castle Councilwoman Barbara DiGiacinto, who holds monthly meetings in North White Plains, announced that she will be at the center on Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.
Information on the tree lighting is available on the town's website.
