New York Times Puts Focus On Westchester's Fair Housing Battle

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The New York Times recently spotlighted Westchester County's ongoing struggle with the federal government and a court-ordered fair housing settlement.

The federal government issued a mandate that the county build at least 750 affordable housing units in an effort to help break down perceived barriers, but opposition has been fierce and progress on the required housing has been slow, The New York Times reported.
