Metro-North Resumes Service

Metro-North, which suspended service at 4 p.m. on Saturday during the height of the Nor'easter, is expected to be back in business Sunday afternoon.

Service at outlying stations will be restored after noon and will be fully operational in and out of Grand Central Terminal by 3 p.m, operating on a Sunday schedule. Some residual delays are expected.

Grand Central Terminal opened for retail customers at 8 a.m.

The Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines west of the Hudson River operated by NJ Transit remain suspended until further notice. 

Westchester Bee-Line Bus service resumed at 7 a.m. Sunday.

The travel ban imposed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo at 2:30 p.m. Saturday for New York City and Long Island was lifted at 7 a.m. 

Most subway service resumed at 9 a.m. The MTA will restore bus and regional railroad service as conditions warrant throughout the day. MTA bridges and tunnels reopened at 7 a.m.

LaGuardi and Kennedy airports are likely to remain at least partially closed Sunday. Some flights at LaGuardia are scheduled to resume at noon.
