Isiah Styles, 27, of Yonkers, was tracked down by "very excellent work on the part of our detectives," said Chief John Barbelet.
A woman called the police on Wednesday to report that a naked man was performing lewd acts even after realizing she had seen him, said Budnar.
Police responded to the area near Neperan Road and Sunnyside Avenue, and the woman informed police that the man had recovered some clothing from the ground and fled on foot down the fitness trail and into the wooded area.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate him.
Styles was arrested Friday after officers managed to track him to a home in Valley Cottage where they found him hiding in the ceiling, the chief said.
He was charged with public lewdness, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
He is being held pending arraignment in the Village of Tarrytown Justice Court.
"The Tarrytown Police Department would like to thank the Westchester County Department of Public Safety, the Sleepy Hollow Police Department and the Clarkstown Police Department for their assistance in the investigation," the chief said.
