Local Vendors Enjoy Sharing 'Taste of the Towns'

ARMONK, N.Y. – Among 55 vendors at “Taste of the Towns” Thursday night at The Gym were Armonk’s own Beascakes Bakery and La Mer Seafood.

Representatives from both eateries said they were pleased to be able to help Support Connection.

“It’s a good way to promote your business and do some good for the cause at the same time,” said Julie Dickens, the owner of Beascakes. “We appreciate the cause and it’s great seeing everyone support it.”

Ed Wechsler, who owns La Mer, said he loved being part of the event and that he enjoys supporting the community and the great cause. He also said he wouldn’t mind doing it all again next year.

The Taste of the Towns event benefited Support Connection, a Yorktown-based organization that provides emotional, social and educational support services to women, their families and friends affected by breast and ovarian cancer.
