Roadsnacks.net pulled information from Ashley Madison's database for 434 cities and found a list of 837,000 accounts in the Empire State. The website then broke down the accounts by zip code and determined a percentage of accounts per capita in each city.
No Westchester towns cracked the top 10, but White Plains ranked 23rd with roughly 8.2 percent of the population owning accounts to the website geared toward extra-marital affairs.
The 10 cities in New York with the highest percentage of Ashely Madison accounts were:
- Locust Valley (17 percent)
- Schenectady (16 percent)
- New York City (15.1 percent)
- Akron (15 percent)
- Albany (13.7 percent)
- Holtsville (13.6 percent)
- Long Island City (12.9 percent)
- LaGrange (12.2 percent)
- Melville (10.2 percent)
- Attica (10.2 percent)
The city with the lowest percentage of Ashley Madison accounts was Apalachin at 1.7 percent.
