Independence Primary for County Board District 3

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – There is an Independence Party primary Tuesday for the seat that represents Mount Pleasant, Pleasantville, Sleepy Hollow, parts of Greenburgh and North Castle on the Westchester County Board of Legislators.

The District 3 incumbent, county Legislator John Nonna, will be facing write-in candidates for the Independence party spot. Registered voters in the Independence party will be able to either cast a ballot for Nonna or write-in the name of whomever they would like to see on the ballot in the general election. Nonna, a Democrat, will be facing off against Michael Smith, a Republican who also has the Conservative endorsement, in the general election this November. 

The polls open on Tuesday at 6 a.m. and will close at 9 p.m. For the nearest polling place, enter your street address in the polling place locater provided on the website of the Westchester County Board of Elections.

In addition, Republicans in Mount Pleasant can cast ballots for the Westchester Republican County Committee members. The candidates running in this primary election are Joseph Soricelli, Robert Rennie, Ines Rennie-Matos, Carolyn Dilemme, Mary O'Brien, Paul Dilemme, and Michael Duffy.
